Tip: Narrator sucks, skip to 1:35 for the fight.
I generally become uneasy when nature documentaries show animals fighting each other because I’m a little sqeamish and the whole concept of people filming animals duking it out, often to the death, just makes me incredibly uncomfortable.
However, today I learned that The Discovery Channel may have unwittingly unveiled the most hilarious animal fight imaginable. Though I’m certain that 500-lbs of giraffe neck whipping around is probably painful for both the giraffes involved, the limp neck-slinging and the little topsy-turvy motion of their bodies, all while filmed in the style of a classic Western movie, just made this whole sneak preview incredibly enjoyable to watch.
That being said, the new show, Africa, which is sadly not narrated by the now retired David Attenborough, premieres January 8 and looks a-may-zing.
