The search for life on Mars is (back) on. NDT is under the impression that if NASA hadn’t had such brutal budget cuts in the past few decades, we’d have had a manned mission there already. Which is scary considering the Mars to Stay project itself has been proposed for 2030. Space exploration is depressingly slow. Not that I think there’s anything for astrobiologists on Mars, but the Enceladus news lately is getting me excited! Can we join the Galatic Alliance already?! They’re waiting for us to discover life out there!

There’s still a lot of life to be discovered in this planet. And a lot more to avoid losing.

I’m skeptical about how many of those coffins are actual coffins. Some of them look like they’re just large art pieces and/or advertisements. At the very least, the last one is obviously not a coffin unless it was designed to hold 3 pets.

Gum disease might not cause heart problems, but do you really want an infection that close to your brain?

True. I don’t recall a picture from a space that had a foreground also containing the starfield. Did HDR finally make it IN SPAAAACE?

That stuff about teenage girls and internet sex is scary as hell… I was an awkward and dorky teenager, and I used to talk to guys in chat rooms. There were a couple that I considered my “online boyfriend” for a while when I was like 14, but I never attempted to meet them. Looking back, I’m 150% sure they sent me photos that weren’t of them and lied about who they were. I did meet a couple guys in person when I was like 17, but I always met them in public places, and each of them were completely unattractive as compared to their photos, so I only saw them once. I really can’t believe what these girls are doing, and what these creeps are getting them to do… not that I should be surprised, since How to Catch a Predator exists… :-/

In other news, I’ve got gum disease (super crowded teeth, despite brushing my teeth twice a day and using Listerine, there was no stopping it), but haven’t got the money to afford any care right now. It’s incredibly stressful as it is, so it’s actually relieving to read that I can at least put aside the worry that I’m gonna have a heart attack cause of it. Not that I don’t wanna get it taken care of… but since I can’t right now, and I can’t help but stress cause of it, I’m really glad to hear this.
Also, not surprised that the election should be a close one. Obama better pull out ahead.
