    In regards to the whole “your soulmate is out there waiting for you in the big sea full of billions of fishes” has anyone else ever wondered if the person you’ll eventually grow old and die with has already impacted your life in some capacity?

    Like, you passed them in the street once or they served you a meal at a restaurant. Something menial and entirely unexceptional but an interaction with a stranger you’ll go on to share a large portion of your life with.

    It’s something I ponder occasionally.

      That song is special to my wife and I, because we found out after the fact that we’d been to some of the same shows, bars and even same house parties, at the same time, crossing paths. We both think we may have even said a few words to each other in passing, without having the opportunity at the time to really talk. It was about two years that we were revolving around in the same places, before we got together.

      Plus we both like Spoon and for her birthday a couple years ago, I got her tickets to both Fri/Sat shows in Seattle, with a hotel for the night between. It was pretty rad (and I haven’t been able to top it since, unfortunately….).

      But yeah, I think that happens, most definitely. :)
