For those of you who don’t give a shit about Valentine’s Day, but do give a shit about that spicy, delicious goodness that is known as Sriracha (or, as I like to call it, GOD’S WORK), here’s a little food porn to tide you over until your next meal when you spread that cock sauce all over your morsels of tender food.

    My brother introduced me to peanut butter and Sriracha as a way to give foods sort of a faux-Thai flavor. It’s an odd combination, but SOOOOO good.

      Stir-fry vegetables and add Sriracha, ginger powder, peanut butter, soy sauce and sweetened coconut flakes: the fucking best! I eat that shit all the time.

            I find it too garlic-y to use as a condiment– I only cook with it.
            Sriracha works really well in soups too. I use it for lablabi, tom yum, even those 10-cent ramens with some frozen veges makes a pretty good quick meal.

    My favorite go-to hot sauce.

    Sriracha is all fire no flavor, to me anyway.
    Like Tabasco.

    I do like the Matouks papaya habanero sauces though.

        This Mexican restaurant I go to has that and I mix it in with the tomatillo sauce.

        In case it wasn’t clear, I was joking about the wrong/opinion part. I just don’t want you to think I’m an asshole :( But I really am shocked you think they’re all fire and no flavor!

        Seriously though, I don’t like hot sauces to overpower the food I’m eating.
        Those do.
        That’s why I like the vinegar based hot sauces.
        Goes very well on just about anything.
        It’s crazy good on pizza.

          Actually, I think it all depends on the individual’s sensitivity to spiciness. I am 100% with you that I hate hot sauces that overpower the food I’m eating, and that are all fire, no taste because the heat overpowers all taste. But for me, tabasco and sriracha don’t do that. They both taste delicious and add a good amount of spice. However, I’ve had much better hot sauces than either of those, both in taste and in terms of being spicier. There’s a Thai place here that does it perfectly!

          And vinegar (balsamic) is awesome, so I’m cool with vinegar-based hot sauces.

            There is an old, retired couple that makes a variety of hot sauces, all organic, from peppers and herbs they grow.

    I proofread a friend’s statement of purpose for grad school, and as payment, she’s sending me sriracha (as well as mac n cheese and cheez its). It was well worth the proofreading :D
