Oh, somebody would DIE if they ever did this to me and my pups.
Brandon Harker returned home to Lakewood, Washington from a nine month deployment in Afghanistan last week to find that his dog had been given away or sold on Craigslist by a friend who was supposed to be caring for the dog in his absence. Oakley, the two year old Labrador retriever, has a microchip with his information and registration, but after turning to veterinarians and shelters in an attempt to find him, Harker has now turned to social media and Craigslist.
“I am just trying to get him back since he was wrongfully given away or sold without my permission while I was deployed,” Harker said.
Oakley was reportedly given away sometime in May, according to the friend who was charged with his well-being, but Harker says that it could have been anywhere between February and June. If you live in Washington and have any information about Oakley, please contact Harker via Craigslist.
