Saturday Short: Adam and Dog

This beautiful short film by Disney artist Minkyu Lee handles a Biblical concept with such grace and charm and leaves you simply feeling that dogs truly are, have been, and always will be man’s best friend. At least, that was my interpretation of the film. Did anyone else interpret it any differently?

    If I had a time machine, one of the first things I would investigate would be the first friendships between wolves and humans. The human-dog relationship is totally fascinating.

      If you have netflix, I recommend streaming “The Science of Dogs” by NatGeo. It’s fascinating and it explores the various characteristics we’ve bred into dogs over the years.

        Thanks! I do have netflix and I just watched it. Got pangs of remembrance when they showed the keeshonds, as my old buddy when I was a kid was a keeshond.

        “The Science of Dogs” is one of the most fascinating things I’ve ever watched. I recommend it all the time. Seriously, I could rewatch it over and over and learn something new each time.

    I honestly just watched this after about an hour of playtime with my own little furry guy. I’m pretty sure my heart-strings snapped.

    Also, WHAT THE SHIT, ADAM?! Take care of your dog! You owe him big time for that loyalty. As near as I can tell you guys were cast out, not for eating apples, but abandoning your dog like jerks.

    I just watched all of the nominated animated and live action short films at a movie theater in Berkeley today. The majority of them all were very touching. My favorite was “Henry”. It was a live action film from France and tears were pouring during the whole thing. Try to find if it you can.

    This was amazing. Can’t wait to catch the rest of the Oscar noms at my local indie theatre later this week. If they’re anything like this, I’ll need to bring tissues. Lots of tissues.
