Jalonta Freeman learned the hard way that if something in a gas station is too good to be true, it probably most definitely is. As much as I want to feel bad for her, I just can’t. Common sense would tell you that if you’re even considering buying an iPad for $600 less than the retail value in a gas station parking lot, you should probably demand to at least be able to hold and turn on said iPad instead of just blindly accepting the box from the seller. If you don’t, well, honestly, you get what you get. Which could be a mirror or…a piece of wood.
But hey, congratulations Jalonta, you are now the proud owner of a $200 mirror approximately the same size as an iPad.
If this happened to me, I’d almost be too embarrassed to report it to the police. Almost.
