So… at the end is he doing a little “ta-da!”, or a “come get some!”?

    • TruuuV

I always saw it as “What you got?!”

Ta-da could be an awesomely awkward escape mechanism though.

More like “wassup with that toy?”

So, ummm, hooray for US military propganda?

    • KillerTruffle

You could easily replace the “US” with “UN” and it wouldn’t change the comic a bit.

        or 6-nation agreements

I’m not sure that it really qualifies as propaganda to point out that the US military is stronger than that of North Korea, or that Kim Jong Un is trying to provoke US/UN to get his way…

The only nuclear bombs ever to be used directly (*) against human populations in human history, both by the United States, were called “Little Boy” (used on Hiroshima) and “Fat Man” (used on Nagasaki).

One could call that Little Fat Boy Man Syndrome, I suppose.

Meanwhile, India just launched a missile this week that they proudly proclaimed can carry nuclear warheads. India is not a signatory to the non-proliferation treaty. Neither is North Korea of course, but Iran is and is in compliance, according to the IAEA. Israel has its own arsenal of treaty non-compliant nuclear weapons. And, it should be noted, that the nuclear-powered signatories to the treaty have done an absolutely crap job of heeding their obligations to work towards eliminating their own arsenals. It’s just high hypocrisy all around when it comes to the nuclear issue, although the bulk of the hypocrisy is on the part of the longstanding nuclear powers, particularly the only country that has ever used them offensively.

*The shameful legacy of testing by the US and other countries of course has damaged many other populations.

I would’ve said that the lifting of the arms is like an “aww come on”. or “what was that for”
