    I don’t understand why people support Pirate Bay. Do you not want artists to continue making money and going on tour? Tours don’t bring in enough money to pay for albums, the next tour, or anything else. There is hard work that goes into making music, it’s not free. I don’t buy the excuse that “I will pay for music for only artists that I like” no, you should pay for any music you own. It’s bullshit.

      There are two aspects. The first is simple: People like getting things for free. The second involves justification (to one’s self or others) and there are lots of different arguments for that. Some people will say that it’s not about ripping off the artists, but taking control away from the huge production companies that are the ones truly ripping off the artists (not my opinion, just what I’ve heard).

        Their form of protest just so happens to include all the free music they want? Yeah, sounds like a crock of shit to me. What jackass truly pats themselves on the back thinking, “Yeah, I’m helping out my artists when I download their music for free. Take that corporate America!”

          Curious, do you feel the same about being able to stream the music on youtube?

            That depends. These are my exceptions:
            1) VEVO
            2) Hard to find music videos (especially since MTV rarely even plays music videos)
            3) Background music in a comedy video or animation
            4) Uploads that have been approved by record labels in the description (there’s a little logo and they get paid for the ads on your video)
            5) If the song was never released and the only way of finding it is online (just as long as they don’t get paid for the upload)

      Thanks to these new EULAs, I don’t own what I buy. So it’s cool.(I don’t buy or download music, so…eh)
