A touching story from Story Corps about physicist Ronald E. McNair, the second African-American to ever enter into space. McNair was on board NASA Challenger mission STS-51-L, which sadly exploded just 73 seconds after takeoff. His brother Carl recounts a story from their childhood about McNair’s passion for space and science.
