I am not particularly a fan of fast food, but every once in a while a burger is needed without pulling out the grill.
Hardee’s has started a mild online frenzy with their most recent marketing campaign for a new hamburger bun they have developed. On Twitter, they are suggesting users to use the hashtag #mondaybunday. This is the internet. By clicking that hashtag, you may or may not encounter some NSFW photos or material. You have been warned.
We are talking about Hardee’s (Carl’s Jr. for you Midwestern folk), so of course we have the highly sexual commercial above. Remember the Paris Hilton, or Kate Upton videos?
They have also sponsored another Monday Bunday campaign with The Chive. You can see the rest of the post here.
After seeing this ad campaign, let me know in the comment section if you want to get your hands on a nice set of buns, or go elsewhere for noms.
DotD’ers seem to be well read. How would you guys feel about a post involving a few poems, links to short pieces of prose, or just “good” bits of writing?
It would only be once a week, and would be contingent on responses to this post.
Let me know in the comments!
Ode to my Family
While they dance with harmony, and emotion
–the blessing of fun, and good times are upon them
and I see them in the presence of arch angels…
–in the presence of a family so strong
and I see them heal, I see them sing
–I see my loved ones dance with harmony, and emotion
Here is some stuff I’ve written. Some poetry, some not. I’m mostly a fan of Aphorisms.
In this modern age, it becomes burdensome doling out ready money on books for enjoyment. The perceived worth is difficult to consider during the initial transaction, nevertheless resulting satisfaction justifies the expenditure.
Simple truths in life are discovered by often minor and rare experiences.
You chased me along muddy paths, over creeks
later traipsing through historically preserved homes.
Lunch in the back of the CR-V.
Often, the more your fondness
the more reluctant to tell everything you’re thinking.
There was no portion of my thoughts
not satisfied by the decision, no portion of my body
was dissuaded by the rain.
When considering thought and action,
companionship registered by the soul
finds its way
to be realized by the heart
I would love to share poetry posted in the comments in next week’s post, if you were up to it!
It’s been awhile since we’ve done a Weekend Weirdness, so for your pleasure, here’s a roundup of the news and oddities you may have missed this weekend.
