I was late to jump on the True Detective bandwagon. My boyfriend originally described it to me as “Law & Order: SVU, but on crack.” Me, being the avid SVU fan that I was watched the first two episodes of True Detective and pretty much said, “Meh.”
Then I decided to give it another shot, erasing the expectations that I previously had for it, and I came to appreciate it. I love Matthew McConaughey’s character and his chemistry with Woody Harrelson. It’s really a crime show that has different levels of intellectualism laced throughout it. All in all, it’s entertaining as hell at the end of the day.
That said, this mash-up seemed fitting, seeing as how it’s the show itself and the show that was ill-fittingly compared to it.
If you’re a fan of the series, enjoy. If not, start watching. You won’t regret it.
This is the first I’m hearing of this band… group… concoction? I guess I’m not hip. This is ‘Babymetal’, a half-pop/half-metal trio from Japan, and apparently they’ve just released their first full-length album.
Using foam boards, a projector, and some creative camera positioning, Pomplamoose’s video mashing up three difference Pharrell songs is a work of pure artistic genius. From the YouTube description:
For the verse of our mashup, we used the chords from “Get Lucky” with the vocals from “Happy.” For our prechorus, we used the vocals from both “Happy” and “Get Lucky.” The chorus of our mashup is the chords and vocals from “Happy” and the vocals from “Lose Yourself to Dance.”
We are anticipating a mountain of comments about boobs. That’s okay – we know boobs get people going. We didn’t intend to make a “boob” video. We just thought it would be cool to project on another 3D surface…. and Nataly’s boobs make GREAT eyeballs
He recently did an interview with YouTheDesigner where he talks about how/why he started the series and his cat with 26 toes among other things. You can click below to see more of his No series. It’s pretty awesome!
